Good morning Gretna Elementary families! I would like to take a moment to say THANK YOU for a wonderful school year. I am so grateful for the opportunity to work alongside you and our staff fostering your child's growth and education. Your dedication to your child's education, whether it be through assisting with homework, volunteering at school, or simply offering words of encouragement, has not gone unnoticed, and has made such a wonderful difference in our school community! A few things to note as we finish the school year strong: 1) Tomorrow, Tuesday, is field day (we have an alternative plan if we need to move inside). The school lunch will be club sandwich, applesauce cup and baby carrots. You can also send your child with a cold lunch if they would prefer that option! 2) On Wednesday, we will dismiss at 11:05 AM. Our 5th graders will have their Clap Out Walk beginning at 10:50 AM inside the building. 3) Gretna Schools have announced our new app for mobile phones! Stay up-to-date with access to events, documents, news from administrators, student stories, and even emergency notifications. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJNAcsp9IFM You can download the app for free on Google Play or Apple App Store. -Download for Android https://aptg.co/8YPL6p -Download for iPhone https://aptg.co/-4PP4X We will use this app, in conjunction with our website, to communicate school news and updates as needed, rather than publishing a weekly newsletter. I truly can't thank you enough for such a wonderful school year! I am beyond proud of the students, staff and families that we have at Gretna Elementary! Thank you!
